Christine Nikander

Founder & CEO

Christine Nikander is the founder of Palsa & Pulk. She thoroughly enjoys working at the nexus of law, business, sustainability, and social impact. Through her advisory work, Christine aims to put her knowledge on human rights, environmental law, and corporate social responsibility into the best practical use.

Christine studied international and EU law, environmental law, and human rights. In line with this, one of her core competences is helping companies navigate the complex regulatory and compliance obligations around ESG, corporate social responsibility, circular economy, and the just transition. As an expert in waste and circularity laws, she is also a member of the consortium that has been selected by the Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV) of the European Commission for the “Framework Contract on the Circular Economy and Waste to Resources”.

Christine started her career by working at a large corporate law firm, followed by several impact-driven startups and initiatives. Amongst others, she is the creator of The E-Waste Column. In December 2024, Christine was featured in The Bloom's 30 Under 30 Social Impact.
